Matthew Lee Anderson is assistant research professor of ethics and theology at the Institute for Studies of Religion and assistant director of Baylor University’s Baylor in Washington program.

Jennifer Glass is professor of sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. She is the author of numerous articles, including “Why Aren’t We Paying Attention? Religion and Politics in Everyday Life” in Sociology of Religion in 2019.

Robert Bullard is described as the father of environmental justice and is a Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at Texas Southern University. He is the author of several books, including Race, Place and Environmental Justice After Hurricane Katrina and The Wrong Complexion for Protection.

Zahid Hussain is the director of hunger prevention for ICNA Relief. The relief organization is part of the Islamic Circle of North America.

Craig Gundersen is a professor in the economics department  at Baylor University and holds the Snee Family Endowed Chair at the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty. He studies the causes and consequences of food insecurity and evaluates food assistance programs.

James W. Pennebaker is a professor in the department of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He wrote Opening Up: The Healing Power of Expressing Emotions and Writing to Heal: A Guided Journal for Recovering From Trauma and Emotional Upheaval.

Kevin Cokley is an educational psychology professor at the University of Texas at Austin who studies African American psychology. He wrote a 2019 piece titled “Why support for the death penalty is much higher among white Americans” for The Conversation.

Jason Shelton is an associate professor of sociology and anthropology at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research interests include religious affiliations and politics in the Black church.

Elesha J. Coffman is an associate professor of history at Baylor University. She wrote The Christian Century and the Rise of the Protestant Mainline.
