Religion News Foundation is a secular educational and charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization housed at the University of Missouri’s Columbia campus, in its top-flight School of Journalism.
RNF advances religious literacy through its websites, resources, networks, training seminars, events and other programs tailor-made for media professionals, corporate clients and the general public. The Foundation facilitates and encourages discourse about religion in a neutral and informative way without endorsing or promoting any particular belief system or point of view.
RNF’s entities include:
- Religion News Service, a secular newswire based in Washington, D.C., that delivers original daily news content to more than 100 media subscribers
- Religion News Association, the only global network for professional journalists writing about religion with accuracy, balance and insight
