Sonke Gender Justice works across Africa to strengthen government, civil society and citizen capacity to promote gender equality, prevent domestic and sexual violence and reduce the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS. It has offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Mpumalanga, South Africa. Sonke works closely with a range of organizations and individuals, including women’s rights gromps, social movements, trade unions, government departments, sports associations, faith-based organizations, media organizations, university research units and human rights advocates.
